I am happy to announce that along with fellow Philadelphian Mikey Burton, I am now part of the amazing pool of artists at Scott Hull Associates. Scott has great views and ideas on creativity and the illustration world. I recommend checking out his blog http://visualambassador.com/ or some of the audio interviews http://escapefromillustrationisland.com/2010/07/13/podcast-episode-42-creative-identity-w-scott-hull/ and http://escapefromillustrationisland.com/2010/04/20/artist-representative-scott-hull/
SHA recognizes two esteemed representatives from the great state of Pennsylvania
Tim Gough joins the SHA family from Philadelphia, bringing both brotherly love and a passion for silk-screen conceptual art. Tim melds images of spies and monstrous creatures with bursts of color and densely clustered patterns, creating dynamically rich works that are equally inspired by mid-century graphics and the screen-printing process itself. McSweeney’s Panorama
Thursday, January 7th, 2010I just got my copy of McSweeney’s Panorama in the mail. It is a beast, ill be devouring this thing over the next couple weeks. The team over at McSweeney’s definitely demonstrate all the great things print journalism can (still) do, with as much first-rate writing and reportage and design. I am very excited to have an illustration in this issue.

Juxtapoz Poster Art
Wednesday, September 9th, 2009I was asked to be part of a really great compilation of today’s poster makers, Juxtapoz Poster Art focuses on the art of screen print posters. In the past 10 years screen printing has ballooned in popularity and a new class of artists has emerged. These artists stepped away from the psychedelic posters of the ’60s and developed their own aesthetic-incorporating everything from hand-drawn type to found objects. Their posters have become sought-after collectors items for art and music fans alike. Featured artists include: Jason Munn, Michael Motorcycle, Little Friends of Printmaking, Jesse LeDoux, ThinkMule, Paul Insect, Seripop, Brandy Flower, Aesthetic Apparatus, Decoder Ring, Nick Butcher, Rocky Grimes, Tyler Stout, and more.
